We’ll pick you up in the morning from your hotel or accommodation in Cusco , and then begin our adventure north of the region.
The first place to visit will be Chinchero , we will visit a local community to get to know the Textile Interpretation Center , we will also take a guided tour of the Moray Archaeological Site considered the Inca Agricultural Laboratory, later we will pass through the town of Maras and we will also visit the Salt Mines .
We will head to the town of Urubamba, where we will have a buffet lunch featuring our Peruvian cuisine.
At noon, we’ll continue our journey to our restaurant in Urubamba . We’ll take advantage of this time to enjoy a delicious and nutritious New Andean buffet lunch featuring exquisite Cusco cuisine.
Continuing our tour, we head to the Ollantaytambo Archaeological Site , which served as a tambo (inn), or resting place, during Inca times. It is also the starting point for reaching the Machu Picchu Sanctuary . We will explore its most important stone buildings, such as the large stone terraces, the Temple of the Sun, and the fountain of the Princess’s Baths from that period.
Returning to Cusco, we’ll head toward the town of Pisac . Upon arriving, we’ll ascend to the Pisac Archaeological Site , which is built on top of a mountain.
Upon returning to the town of Pisac, we will visit the picturesque local artisan market. The locals are experts at working with minerals, and we will be able to do some shopping there.
We will finish the excursion by returning to the city of Cusco , the tour will end in the Plaza de San Francisco, around 6:30 or 7:00 p.m. approximately.
