The Paracas National Reserve is a protected area in Peru located in the province of Pisco, within the department of Ica. The Paracas National Reserve was declared a national reserve on September 25, 1975.
Itinerary
Full Day Paracas - Huacachina
05:30 AM Departure to the Paracas Resort, (approximately 4 hours of travel) in tourist transport from the chosen Concentration place.
09:30 AM: Upon arrival in Paracas, we will head to the El Chaco pier. From there, we will depart for the Ballestas Islands in modern speedboats, where you will enjoy a wonderful tour of the Ballestas Islands, located in Paracas Bay . You can appreciate this natural wonder and marine wildlife such as sea lions, Humboldt penguins, black cormorants, flamingos, parihuanas, and various seabirds.
Sea lions are likely to approach the boat, and penguins can be seen in the water. Thousands of seabirds fly between the islands, and their nests can be seen on the rocks.
You will also appreciate the Candelabra where the guide will tell us the different hypotheses about its formation (01:45 hrs. Approx. duration).
Those who choose to stay will be able to enjoy the sun and the sea breeze.
11:30 AM: Departure to the city of Ica.
01:00 PM: Arrival at Huacachina.
Excursion to the Huacachina Oasis , located just 5 km from the center of Ica. Visitors to this beautiful lagoon can enjoy the tranquility of the area and walk around in search of great photos.
Visit the nearby LA CHOCOLATERIA NOELIA stand , where you’ll sample traditional chocoteja (chocolate pastries), alfajores (almond cookies), jams, homemade cookies, stuffed mouse, and more.
3:00 PM: Tour of the Nietto Winery , where the grape brandy famously known as Pisco is produced. The former Tres Esquinas Winery, where we’ll show you the entire process of how Peruvian wine and pisco have been handcrafted since 1856, guided by an experienced winery worker.
Here we will find antique pieces such as clay jugs, copper skirts, and Huarango presses, which are still in use today.
After visiting the winery’s facilities, visitors will be invited to taste or sample the winery’s main products: wines, piscos, pisco creams, macerated spirits, and mistelas. The tasting will be accompanied by dynamic phrases typical of the city of Ica.
Lunch (Free)
05:00 PM Finishing the tour we will head to Chincha.
06:30 PM Technical Stop (Optional) in Chincha at the Racimo de Uvas Winery , where we will do a wine and pisco tasting, we will taste the popular cachina and the variety of wines, macerated drinks and piscos.
We will also have a folk dance workshop, to the sound of the Cajón, competitions among participants and a tasting of typical Chincha sweets.
10:00 PM: Arrival at the chosen hotel
Arrivals at the pick-up points depend on how the group has progressed and the traffic encountered throughout the route.
