Itinerary
Tour Maras, Moray y Salineras 1 Day
We will begin the tour by picking you up from your hotel in Cusco around 7:00 AM. From there, we will head north of the city on a one-hour drive to our base of operations in the Cruzpata area.
Afterward, we will be assigned our ATVs, and the instructor will teach us how to use them. After practicing and getting the instructor’s approval, we will set off on a 40-minute ride through trails and landscapes.
We will visit the experimental terraces of Moray, designed by the Incas in the shape of a sunken amphitheater. These terraces are believed to have played a crucial role in creating microclimates to aid plant growth. We will enjoy breathtaking views while learning about the ingenious agricultural practices of the Incas.
After visiting Moray, we will return to our base in Cruzpata to drop off the ATVs and head to the salt mines of Maras. There, our guide will provide detailed information about the artisanal methods of salt production.
Finally, we will take transportation back to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel, concluding the tour at approximately 2:00 PM.
